Photo Loco ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Account information — when you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and display name.
Profile information — optionally, you may provide a profile photo and social media links (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, website).
Location data — when you add a spot, we record the GPS coordinates you provide. We request access to your device location to show nearby spots and calculate distances. We do not store your real-time location or track your movements.
Content you submit — location names, descriptions, tags, and photos you upload become part of the Photo Loco community database. Content you post publicly may also be used to promote Photo Loco itself — see Promotional Use of Your Photos in our Terms of Service.
Usage data — we collect basic usage information such as spots saved and spots submitted. We do not use third-party analytics services.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not serve advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.
We use the following third-party services to operate Photo Loco:
Locations you submit as public are visible to all users of Photo Loco, including unauthenticated visitors. Your username is displayed alongside locations you submit.
Locations you mark as private are only visible to you when signed in. Private content is never used in marketing.
Public photos may also appear in Photo Loco's own marketing — the website, app store listings, our social accounts, and in-app promotional screens — always credited to your username. We do not sell your images, use them in paid advertising, attach them to another brand, or use them to train AI models without asking you first. You can opt out at any time by emailing hello@photoloco.app. The full terms are set out in Promotional Use of Your Photos.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be removed. Public location submissions may remain on the platform attributed anonymously unless you request their removal.
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, either in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account or on the web at photoloco.app/delete-account. Both pages set out exactly what is deleted and what is kept anonymously before anything happens, and both let you choose whether your photos are deleted too. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Photo Loco is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
